Akhenaten Column Statue


Alternating called a great religious reformer or a heretic King, the New Kingdom pharaoh Akhenaten certainly qualifies as a controversial figure. He studied to become a priest in the temples. His brother heir to

Egypt's throne, died unexpectedly, Akhenaten became the next in line. A monotheistic religion dedicated to a god called the Athen, defined as a universal creation power embodied by the light of the sun.
